Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola Loses Dad (Alhaji Ademola Fashola)

The father of the Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola, Alhaji Ademola Fashola has passed on. The elder Fashola passed on in the early hours of Monday after a brief illness. Late Pa Fashola was a great grandson of the late philanthropist, Bello Fashola who was a close friend of Oba Esugbayi, who ruled as the Oba of Lagos back then. The deceased’s great grandfather was instrumental to his return to Lagos in 1932 after the Eleko was banished by colonial authorities around 1925.
The Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Fashola, is bereaved. The ‘action’ number one citizen of the Centre of Excellence state lost his father to the cold hands of death.
Fashola’s father, Alhaji Ademola Fashola, died on Sunday night after a brief illness. He was aged 75 before death. The incident has forced the governor to cut short his stay in Saudi Arabia, where he had gone to observe the Umrah religious rite in Saudi Arabia. He is on his way home to bury his late father.
