It is less than a week to go before she is set to tie the knot with her fiancé Kanye West.
And with all the intense workouts Kim Kardashian has been doing lately, it seems the 33-year-old can still afford to indulge in some guilty pleasures. Arriving in Paris on Sunday, Kim - who will be married for the third time next Saturday - was seen tucking into an ice cream as she took a romantic stroll with Kanye.Kim is famously tough on herself when it comes to her workout regime, and just last week posted an Instagram snap of herself showing off her toned abs. So it seems there really is no need for a pre-wedding diet, as Kim showed off her incredible physique in Paris, wearing a pair of skin-tight blue jeans and plunging neckline top. It has to be said that the bride and groom-to-be looked remarkably calm as took a stroll together in the French capital. 6 Ways To Survive A Bad Date

11:00 AM 1 Comment

Remember the golden rule: just because you don’t jive with someone, does not mean that they deserve to be treated like dirt. By the same token, you are not obligated to stick around until the date comes to it’s natural…yawn… two hour conclusion. So you met someone who seemed nice so you got dressed up and went on a date with them. Once you got there, you realized it wasn’t all that you thought it would be. Maybe they are rude, crass or totally incompatible. Maybe you just can’t get a conversation going. For whatever reason, this date is going horrible.

What do you do?

A. Throw your water on them.
B. Suffer through two hours of them rambling on and on.
C. Break out of the restaurant’s bathroom window and run.
D. All of the above.

I’ve dated a lot. I’ve been on more than my fair share of terrible dates and did my best to perfect the fine art of leaving gracefully. It is harder than it sounds to get away from a bad date without needlessly being rude, offending them, and/or making a total fool out of yourself. But with experience, I’ve learned how to handle all of the above. Here are my 6 tips for how to survive a bad date. SEE TO DO LIST AFTER CUT>>>>>>>>

Married Couples & Social Media

You can imagine this Story: I have this awesome friend on twitter that I was actually crushing on because he was really sweet. We talk like almost everytime via dms and whenever he doesn’t reply my messages on time, I actually feel sad. He’s one of the reasons I will get aprehensive when MTN decides to get funny or when twitter for blackberry starts messing up. In fact, I started using my ubersocial app just for this bobo. The crush was very real; it’s not love but I liked how he made me feel anytime we talk. I won’t lie, I was hoping this guy would just ask me out and I will scream YES in my mind first, front a little and then say yes. It was all there in my head.
I was still in my hoping mood when he told he had a son. In my mind, I started praying for it to be a love child (I know that was childish but I was crushing hard). I could not even scream when he said he was happily married with two sons. I was too shocked and somehow heartbroken but who I wan tell? I just pretended as if I was indifferent about the information he just shared with me and continued chatting with him.SEE MORE AFTER CUT>>>>>>

Nollywood Halima Abubakar Says: I Don’t Do Runs

6:44 AM Add Comment

Nollywood Actress Halima Abubakar is no stranger to saying it like she means it.
In a recent interview, she speaks on life growing, why celebrity marriages don’t last and being controversial. When speaking on if she is in a relationship, Halima says it is “gullible” for people to assume she does “runs” – a name given to girls who date older men for money.
“Yes. You all have been guessing about that, but una get strength, why una wan know my guy? Do you know if I have? I laugh when I hear stuff like this. I just laugh at the assumptions. I have always loved being with just one guy. I don’t do runs. Because I bought a car, gullible people are saying I do runs. So, because I want to buy a car, I will have to sleep around before I can get it? That’s silly. Everyone has become a judge and the main judges don’t have work to do again. Please, I’m too young to be in a hurry to get rich. God can bless you anytime with just one breakthrough, if you are okay, cool and contented.” she says. SEE MORE AFTER CUT>>>>>>>>

3 Ways Marriage Counseling Can Help Your Relationship

6:33 AM 1 Comment

An happily married couple found themselves in the midst of some difficult communication problems. According to him, he can’t talk to her about important relationship issues that arise, so they never resolve them. She thinks that she simply gets over issues faster than he does and talking rarely works anyway, so what’s the point? They were headed straight for an impasse.
Before too long, they both realized things couldn’t continue like this. Together, they decided it was time to see a marriage counselor. When couples (or individuals, for that matter) begin therapy, it’s both normal and expected for them to have questions about the process. Starting couples therapy is a leap of faith that requires courageous action, and we as therapists don’t take this lightly. SEE MORE AFTER CUT>>>>>>>

How To Find Your Dream Job?

3:55 AM Add Comment

Choosing what you love and making it your job, how true is that? Can it really be achieved, irrespective of location & profession? I found a perfect answer, which I would be sharing with you in a moment.
According to James Citrin and Richard Smith in their book called “The 5 Patterns of Extraordinary Careers” (the book was based on in-depth, original research and extensive experience of the authors), they proposed that there are threecritical elements responsible for finding the right fit in a career i.e. find a job you love. These three elements are:
- Playing to your strengths
- Setting your passions free and
- Working with the right set of people
They believed that when “you find your strengths, passions, and cultural fit, you will be happier and more successful in your career. How simple indeed. However, from the thousands of professionals they surveyed ONLY 9 percent believed they are in jobs that fully leverage their strengths, performing activities that they are passionate about in an energizing environment and with people that they like and respect.” SEE MORE AFTER CUT>>>>>>

Motivation: Monday To Remember

1:12 AM Add Comment

I often get asked, "How did you stick with it?" Referring to the craziness that was my corporate finance life, training 80-100 mpw, with a long commute, The answer was, and still is, simple: I want it. I wake up every day and truly want it. I want to prove to myself that I am capable. That I am strong. That I can do something impossible.
At a lot of the presentations I give, I hear so many people say that they've tried a million times to start exercising, eating healthier, losing weight, to stop smoking or another bad habit... the list of resolutions is endless. How will this time be any different?

My advice? Spend some time to define your true goal and what motivates you to get there. Can you find a motivation or multiple reasons in you that is so strong that you're willing to trudge through a hundred bad days before you start seeing progress? That even on the 100th bad day, you'll still wake up and still just want that goal?

Define why you want to start, so that when the days and the journey get tough, you can remember why you started.  What's your motivation? What keeps you going? SEE MORE AFTER CUT>>>>>>

Chris Brown To Be Under Lock Till June As His Trial Is Now Delayed

7:19 AM Add Comment

Now everyone feels really sorry for him. Chris Brown will stay in jail until June after his D.C assault trial was delayed for months. His lawyer applied for bail yesterday but a judge in L.A turned him down. His trial was supposed to start yesterday April 23rd but was delayed because his bodyguard, Chris Hollosy, who has already been found guilty of assault, wanted immunity to testify on Chris' behalf, saying that he and not Chris punched the fan. But he wasn't granted immunity and so he is refusing to testify while he appeals his verdict. Chris Brown's trial is now on hold until after Hollosy's appeal concludes...and this will take months. Chris Brown faces up to four years in prison if found guilty. The singer reportedly broke down in court when he was told his bail application was denied. Now he's being sent back to California on Con-Air in chains to await his trial date. Hang in there, Chris.

Dear Readers: Can I Go Ahead & Marry Her

2:15 PM Add Comment

A Male LIB reader wrote: I Met my girlfriend five years ago as we both came into university together. We started dating and in our third year she got pregnant which we had to quietly removed because we both were not prepared. Now we are both done with NYSC and in search of better paying jobs. The thing is she developed a sickness over the last one year which has been financially demanding. Her parents have sold all they can to keep her healthy and with the explanations from the doctors, her healing is far from now. I do believe in miracles but am worried if I can cope with the financial burden of her health when we get married as I am just about to start life myself. Am thinking if it would be a wise decision to stay and marry her or do away with her.

HOW TO WIN YOUR LOVER’S HEART COMPLETELY

HOW TO WIN YOUR LOVER’S HEART COMPLETELY
The fact that communication is an undeniable mandate if your love life will work. We established the fact that the state of communication is the real state of the relationship. If communication is dead, the relationship is dead. If communication is alive the relationship is alive. We further established that it is equally important to get the tone, timing and terrain of our communication right, if it will succeed. To build upon these, it is also important to get the FREQUENCY of our communication right. By frequency we mean that communication must be regular for it to register. I dare say it must be daily. You see, communication is the price of continuity in every relationship. It is even more essential when you are dealing with a long distance relationship, to keep in touch daily with the one you love. SEE MORE AFTER CUT>>>
