Google Maps Now Tells Real Time Departures For Buses, Trains & Trams

Google Maps has made it easier to travel by public transport in the UK. It has added 17,000 new routes from 1,500 local and national operators, including National Express, Centro and Merseyside. Users can now see the best time and route for their trips on trains, tubes, trams, buses and ferries on their phone or computer. The update will be available on Android, iOS and desktop soon. Google Maps is similar to other transport apps like Citymapper..

President  Goodluck Jonathan has released a press statement condemning the bomb blast that occurred this afternoon at Terminus market in Jos. Find the statement signed by his spokesperson, Reuben Abati, belowPresident Goodluck Ebele Jonathan strongly condemns the bomb blasts in Jos, Plateau state, describing the perpetrators of this tragic assault on human freedom as cruel and evil.  He has also directed all relevant agencies to mobilise support and relief efforts in aid of the victims. The President extends his heartfelt sympathies to the affected families and persons. President Jonathan assures all Nigerians that government remains fully committed to winning the war against terror, and this administration will not be cowed by the atrocities of enemies of human progress and civilization. President Jonathan has also expressed Nigeria’s deepest appreciation to the international community on the success of the recent Summit in Paris on the security situation in Nigeria hosted by the President of France, H.E. Francois Hollande.

The owner of Monaco football club has been ordered to pay a world record divorce settlement of more than £2.6 billion to his ex-wife.This is half of his 5.2 billion dollar fortune. According to Mail online, Judges in Switzerland said Dmitry Rybolovlev, 47, has to give Elena Rybolovleva, who was with him for 24 years, a very precise 4,020,555,987 Swiss francs and 20 centimes. It follow a six year legal saga in which Mr Rybolovlev, who made his billions through a successful fertiliser business, bitterly contested Ms Rybolovlev’s claims to two of the most expensive properties in the USA and a £100million Greek island.She divorced him on the grounds of infidelity. Nigerian Girl Emerges Best Graduating Student In The American University

A 20 year old Delta state born Merrilyn Akpapuna (pictured above) on May 10th 2014 emerged overall Best Graduating Student of Dillard University, an Ivy league school in New Orleans, USA .  Merrilyn, the daughter of a dental surgeon, graduated with a first class honors in Psychology. She also won two other awards for highest academic achievements for the College of Arts and Sciences and College of General Studies. Her feat made her share the podium with US First Lady, Michelle Obama, who attended the school's convocation. Merrilyn is pictured above with the President of Dillard University, Dr Walter Kimbrough. HipHop Musician/Singer Ciara Has Just Delivered

Hiphop singer Ciara has given birth, she is officially a mom. Reports  shows that the singer gave birth early yesterday morning Monday May 19th in Los Angeles. The baby is the first for Ciara, who is engaged to rapper Future and expected to marry him in the next few months. Future has three other children from three other women.

Photos: Two Bomb Blast Explosion At GSM Market In Jos Today

Two bombs have exploded around the ever busy Jos Main Market, between Railway Terminus and the temporary site of the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) in Jos, Plateau State. The first explosion sounded at about 2:55 PM while the second at about 3:20 PM around the same area, The explosions were followed by a thick smoke and is believed to have affected many shops and commercial vehicles. It is not known whether anyone was killed or injured. The explosion has however created tension in the area with cars colliding as drivers scampered for safety. Casualties is said to be high because the explosion happened at a densely populated areas of Ahmadu Bello Way where the GSM market is located.
Ambulance and other safety providers were seen rushing to the area. It was gathered that victims of the explosion are being rushed to Ola hospital. SEE PHOTOS AFTER CUT>>>>>>

A bomb has exploded in the central areas of Jos, Plateau State. The heavy explosion was heard at about 2:55pm Tuesday afternoon. Casualties is said to be high because the explosion happened at a densely populated areas of Ahmadu Bello Way where the GSM market is located. Sound of the explosion was heard in Bukuru, which is about 20km from Jos city. Details of casualties not yet known as security agencies had condoned off the areas and rescue operation is ongoing.
