Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg At 30

1:13 AM 1 Comment

The first time his name appeared in Forbes Magazine, Mark Zuckerberg was an afterthought. Zuckerberg got a few lines which Forbes used to gently rib what seemed like an astronomical valuation for his social network: On Wednesday, Zuckerberg turns 30, another milestone in a life already filled with accomplishments and superlatives. The youngest self-made billionaire to ever appear on the Forbes Billionaires list when he debuted in 2008, he still remains the modern archetype for the nerdy, hoodie-wearing dropout, who coded his way into technology lore at a younger age than any of his predecessors.

Speaking during the Women Inspiration & Enterprise WIE event that held two weeks ago, the chairman of Famfa Oil & Gas, said she got into the business through perseverance and hard work "It was not a planned thing at all. A friend actually contacted me that some people wanted to buy crude oil and she was wondering if I will be able to get them to make the purchase. I got an appointment with the Minister of Petroleum and he told me that it's not the way to go because there wasn't much profit in selling it and because it's a foreign company that Nigeria is imposed at selling its crude to international market. That it will be better to look at other things. I went back to my friend and told her what the Minister said. Then it seemed as if that door was shut but something else came up. I chose not to walk away so I went back to offer another service which was catering services. And yet again I was shut down. I did not give up, I just knew that something had to come out of it. I spoke again to some friends in the oil industry and I was told to ask to be able to supply transportation services for those who are purchasing crude within the country but I was shut down again by the minister. The story going round was that you got the oil block through the connection of a former president’s wife. Is that true?
God has told me I shouldn’t fight for myself. He said He will fight for me. My God has always fought for me. I believe there are some who say that , those who have drawn their own conclusion to suit what they would rather hear than believe that there is a God that actually opens doors, that there is a God who actually favors one, that there is a God who does not come down but will use any means to honor his children, to uplift his children, to promote his children. When they begin to know the God that I have known, they will stop saying such things. SEE MORE AFTER CUT>>>>
