The CEO of Multichoice Africa, Nico Meyer, has described Mo Abudu's new launched EbonyLife TV as a celebration of the African cultural identity. He made this statement during the public launch of EbonyLife TV at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos on Sunday. “My delight comes from creating a channel that appeals to Africa’s most important demographic. This channel can sit shoulder to shoulder with any international brand, quality wise,” Mo Abudu said.
The launch, which was graced by politicians, media moguls and other personalities, also had in attendance, the Minister of Information, Mr. Labran Maku, who represented President Goodluck Jonathan. Africa’s first global entertainment network, EbonyLife TV, is the brainchild of talk show host, Mo Abudu. The channel, which made its debut on DSTV on July 1, is already available to audiences across East, West and Central Africa.
