He pleaded with both sides to be understanding and see this meeting as a sincere attempt to deal with the issues and get everyone on the same page. Tinubu was direct and lucid as he drew on his experience as Lagos governor and warned that politicizing this issue will not do anyone any good. SEE MORE AFTER CUT>>>>
Tinubu enjoined the leaders to be careful not to turn their children to canon fodder for political battle. ”We must be weary of those exploiting this situation for political ends,” he implored. “Our children will be exposed to danger. Their education will suffer unless we settle down and deal with these issues. “I want the best for Osun. We have sacrificed too much for Osun and the Southwest politically to now allow an issue like this tear us apart. A stich in time saves nine.” The meeting was still on-going at the time of filling this report.
