Nigerians are proud of the Golden Eaglets. They beat Mexico 3-0 to win this year's U-17 World Cup in Abu Dhabi. Go, Nigeria! Another History  made.
Our Golden Eaglets became the first country to win the FIFA Under-17 World Cup for the fourth time, after defeating Mexico 3 to 0.
Nigeria has previously won in 1985, 1993 and 2007.
The match went down Friday 8th November 2013 at the Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. SEE MORE AFTER CUT>>>>>

The final was a rematch of the 6-1 win Nigeria inflicted on the Mexicans in Group F play. According to FIFA, when the final whistle went in the UAE capital, fans and players alike rejoiced, fingers pointed to the sky, with what has become the traditional Nigerian celebration of: “yes, yes yes!” Eric Aguirre of Mexico scored the first goal for Nigeria in 9th minute time, when he was under pressure from Nigeria’s Musa Yahaya. He tapped the ball into his team’s net.
In the second half of the match, Kelechi Iheanacho scored the second goal. Musa Mohammed (Captain of the team) closed with a spectacular third goal from a free kick.
Apart from winning the cup, Nigeria also won the FIFA Fair Play Award while Kelechi Iheanacho won the Golden Ball for best player and the Silver Boot for being the second highest goal scorer. Dele Alampasu won the Golden Glove for being the best goal keeper in the tournament. Success is truly good and it tells on the faces of our players.
