The Globacom Chairman headlined the publicity build up to the much anticipated Sunday November 17 traditional wedding as Chairman. He didn’t attend.
Equally reigning sensation, Wizkid (Ayo Balogun) reported to have confirmed performance was no where near the event. The wedding of Peter Okoye of the P-Square fame to Lola Omotayo, the mother of his children could have gone far better- particularly as regards attendance.

Same for Nigeria’s longest reigning superstar, Innoncent Idibia (2face). Others in the outstanding bracket that were absent include, Davido (David Adeleke), Dbanj ( Dapo Oyebanjo).
Also inclusive in the missing list were fellow Globacom Ambassadors, Waje, Wande Coal, Omawumi, Bez, Burna Boy.
All the absentee notables were unavailable due to performance contracts- or issues relating to such.
And according to an observer, they had every moral right to be. The groom (Peter) had cancelled his bachelor’s eve due to a scheduled engagement in Ghana.
The wedding Chairman, Dr Mike Adenuga was represented at the occasion by Globacom big wig,( Chief Operating Officer) Mohamed Jameel.
The event held at the The Ark Event Centre, Lekki Lagos and was lifted with cameo appearances from internationally listed rich people, Alhaji Aliko Dangote and Mrs Folorunsho Alakija.
With music by Sharp Band and aided by the complementary skills of D.J Stramborella, the hall radiated with performances from Flavour, KCEE, Iyanya, Banky W, Tiwa Savage, J Martins, Phyno, M.I, Lynxxx, Ice Prince and Naeto C.
The groom created a special session by taking up the challenge of compere Gbenga Adeyinka to dance for N10,000- an improved free from his very first payment.
Other celebrities that lifted up the engagement were Genevieve Nnaji, Emmanuel Adebayor, DJ Zeez, Karen Igho, Rukky Sanda, Tee-A, Kanu Nwankwo, Dr Sid, Ejike Asiegbu, Don Jazzy, Kate Henshaw, Kanayo O.
