Aspiring contestants were seen trooping into the venue of the auditions as early as 6am, defying the heavy downpour of rain, with many of the hopefuls coming in from neighboring cities in Kaduna, Plateau, Niger and other states. The audition attracted a lot of uniquely talented individuals and groups ranging from singers, rappers, dancers, actors and many more; all in the quest to showcase their enormous talents. “I’m here to show the world what I have inside. I can sing, act and also dance. I have many talents and I believe I am the ‘chosen one’ for this year’s Nigeria’s Got Talent,” says Chosen, one of the contestants. “The violin is an instrument that has helped me through a lot of stress, pain and hard times. The violin is my voice…this is how I choose to make a living and a name for myself”, enthused Azuka, another hopeful. A number of the talents left the judges in awe, mesmerizing them with their electrifying dance steps and unique voices. “As expected, Abuja did not fail to disappoint us. The talents harvested from Abuja were amazing and with this we can only anticipate what the other seven states have to offer,” says Adaora Mbelu, project manager of Nigeria’s Got Talent Season 2.The second audition of the series will hold at Mounty Suites, off Muritala Mohamed High Way Esuk Utan, Calabar, Akwa Ibom on the 12th of October, 2013.
