The Department of Pathology and Forensic Medicine of the Lagos State University,Teaching Hospital, in an autopsy on late Nigerian pop star, Goldie Harvey, revealed that the musician died of ‘hypertensive heart disease’ which triggered “intracerebellar haemorrhage. Since her death on February 14th, many insinuations have trailed popular Kennis Music artiste, Goldie Harvey with regards to the cause of her death. But the truth has finally been established. Reports following the autopsy carried out after her sudden death at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, Lagos revealed that Goldie didn't die of drug-related issues.
The autopsy carried out February 19, was signed by Dr. O.O Oyewole of the Department of Pathology and Forensic Medicine.
It would be recalled that Goldie died on Valentine’s Day shortly after she returned from Los Angeles, United States where she went to observed the 55th Grammy Awards.
