Vice President Namadi Sambo: Gets N2Billion Home As Official Residence

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Bala Mohammed, defended the huge allocations in the 2013 Budget for the construction of houses for Vice President Namadi Sambo and other senior government officials. The project which would take 20 months from now, Namadi Sambo will get a 2 billion naira official residence that will be built by Julius Berger construction company. 
Mohammed defended the allocations when he appeared before the Senate Committee on the FCT on Tuesday. He said that the territory’s N50bn budget for 2013 included a N2bn funding for the construction of the official residence of Vice President Namadi Sambo.
While delivering 2013 budget, President Jonathan requested for additional funding for Aso Rock food expenses. He claims the original N1, 305, 292, 050 food budget might not be enough.

Here is the breakdown of the upcoming official residences projects:
Senate President David Mark and his deputy, Ekweremadu Ike to get N150 million home,
House speaker Aminu Tambuwal and his deputy, Emeka Ihedioha to get N150 million home.
Earlier in the year, 2 Billion Naira was earmarked for the construction of an official 150-seater banquet hall. 
What is this country turning into? Thousands of people are suffering in this country daily. Only God knows how many degree holders are walking aimlessly around the street with no income to sustain them?
