The Federal Government of Nigeria has declared today Tuesday 15th, and Wednesday, 16th October, 2013, As public holidays in commemoration of the Eid-el-Kabir festival, Minister of Interior, Comrade Abba Moro has since Friday said the clarification became necessary following the strings of misinformation published by some media houses in the country. A terse press release from his office yesterday reaffirmed that the dates of the Sallah holiday “still remains intact. “The public should please be informed that there has been no shift in the dates. Wishing all Nigerian Muslims a most rewarding and peaceful celebration.
