Doris Simeon and Daniel Adenimokan separated as husband and wife but they are still battling for who would keep custody of their son permanently. While Daniel has been sighted with a popular actress in far away United States, Doris remains in Nigeria where she continues to make herself relevant in the movie industry.
However, Doris claimed that she is yet to set eyes on her son since Daniel took him away on the pretence that he was visiting his grandmother several months back. According to Doris, contrary to the rumour making the round, she is yet to gain the custody of David, from her ex-hubby.
Speaking through her rep late last week, the delectable actress flatly denied that she had been reunited with her son. Hear her: “The public was recently fed with an untrue tale that I have reunited with my son, David, after my ex-hubby, Daniel Ademinokan, returned him. It was even alleged that the young David and myself attended church together last Sunday, October 20, 2013, which is untrue as I have been out of Nigeria since penultimate week.” SEE MORE AFTER CUT>>>>
Insisting that she is being denied the custody of her son, Doris said: “It should be noted that I am yet to gain custody or reunite with my son after he was taken away by his father several months back. If and when David reunites with his mum, it wouldn’t be a thing to hide as both of us had always had a blossoming and amazing relationship that exists between true mothers and children.”
While running away from making her son a subject of public discourse, Doris emphasized: “David Ademinokan, the product of Doris Simeon and Daniel Ademinokan’s seven-year-old marriage has not spoken or seen her mum since he was whisked away by his dad on the pretence of visiting his grandmother several months back.
“There is no iota of truth in the tale that Daniel Ademinokan has returned the young and intelligent David, who would have no doubt missed the presence of his mother greatly, in the last 13 months.
“It would be a thing of joy and great tidings should David be returned to his mum for the undeniable motherly care he would have missed over the years.”
Doris Simeon, who returned to Nigeria from Dubai last Wednesday after an official engagement, is an award winning Yoruba and English actress. Born in Lagos, she started her acting career with a role in Papa Ajasco comedy series.
