Globacom Frowns At Psquare Breakup & Terminates Their Contract

According to the source, the telecoms giant entered into a contract with P-Square and not with any of the twins. The last may not have been heard of the widely reported crisis rocking the duo of Peter and Paul Okoye, popularly known as P-Square, as the telecommunications giant, Globacom Nigeria Limited may be forced to review its four-year contract with the pop twins.A source close to the telecoms operator said on telephone that Glo may terminate the endorsement deal, which it has with the pop twins since 2010, should they go ahead with the break-up.

Globacom has launched a new post-paid product that enables subscribers to enjoy the full range of Glo voice, data and business offerings with the convenience of a single monthly bill rather than recharging different voice and data accounts.
Glo Infinitiser, as the new product is called, makes it possible for Glo subscribers to make absolutely free calls to 26 million subscribers on the Glo network once the beneficiaries pay the monthly subscription fee of N5,000. Kamaldeen Shonibare, Globacom’s Head of Corporate affairs said at the launch of the product in Lagos, described it as the biggest postpaid product offering ever in Nigeria. “Infinitiser gives a golden opportunity to achieve more, enables you to talk endlessly with loved ones and business associates. Aliko Dangote wealth is now $25bn from $16.1bn in 2013, According to Forbes magazine’s list of the richest people on earth. Dangote, who was number 43 in the top 100 world billionaire list last year, moved up 20 spots to retain his position as the richest person in Africa and also number 23rd in the world. The Chairman, Globacom, Chief Mike Adenuga, was the next Nigerian on the list with a wealth of $4.6bn to maintain the 325th position in the world. The Executive Vice Chairman, Famfa Oil Limited and fashion icon, Mrs. Folorunsho Alakija, retained her position as the world’s richest black woman and the 687th in the world with a fortune of $2.5bn; while the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer, BUA Group of Companies, Alhaji Abdulsamad Rabiu, was ranked 1372th in the world with $1.2bn.
