CHINA SIGNS SH425 BILLION AGREEMENTS WITH KENYA

President Kenyatta was accorded a formal welcome, which includes a 21-gun salute at the most iconic building in China; the Great Hall of the People. Majority of the agreement will cover economic partnerships, wildlife protection, and the standard gauge railway that links Mombasa and Malaba. According to Kenyatta, the gauge railway will provide easier access to markets for goods from Kenya as well as Rwanda, Uganda, Burundi, and Congo.

The rest will cover energy-related projects. According to Xi Jinping (President of China) told President Kenyatta that these agreements deepen practical cooperation between both countries. Jinping also added that China is in support of Kenya's quest for industrialisation. SEE MORE AFTER CUT>>>
President Kenyatta invited Chinese investors to explore opportunities in Kenya, in oil and gas, power generation, Lamu Port-South Sudan-Ethiopia Transport project, and the technology city at Konza near Nairobi.
