According to reports, None of the current American Idol judges are being asked back. All the ratings have dropped by almost 25% from last year. By far the lowest ratings the show has ever had.
The Wrap reports:

“All four are gone,” the insider told TheWrap. “They feel they’ve lost their core audience and they want it back.”
E! News reports:
“Yes, we want to do a whole new panel - but, just like last time around, it depends on who we get,” a Fox source confirmed to E! News in response to a report that all four judges will be leaving after this season because the now 12-year-old show is in need of a massive jolt of new energy.
The longest serving Idol judge Randy Jackson has released a statement confirming his exit from the show. SEE MESSAGE AFTER CUT>>>>>>>>>>>
Randy has also made a statement confirming his departure:

Yo! Yo! Yo! To put all of the speculation to the rest, after 12 years of judging on ‘American Idol’ I have decided it is time to leave after this season.”
I am very proud of how we forever changed television and the music industry. It’s been a life changing opportunity but I am looking forward to focusing on my company Dream Merchant 21 and other business ventures.
