Obasanjo tells Rochas Okorocha: You are a failure.

Former president of Nigeria Olusegun Obasanjo described the governor of Imo State,Rochas Okorocha as a political failure. Obasanjo said this in Abeokuta at the grand finale of a civic reception organized in his honour by the South West Zone of the PDP.

Governor Okorocha had earlier jokingly referred to the former president as a “colleague” while recalling his days as special adviser on Inter-Party Affairs to Obasanjo.

He said most of the good decisions made by the Obasanjo administration stemmed from the good advise he gave while the ex-president was in office.

40 decomposed bodies found in Anambra river

Residents of Amansea in Awka, Anambra State woke up on Saturday January 19th to behold an horrifying sight, 40 dead bodies floating in a River in their community. People from the community and some neighbouring ones besieged the Ezu river yesterday to catch a glimpse of the dead bodies. The river is at the boundary between Enugu and Anambra states and the dead bodies were found at the old Enugu-Onitsha road axis of the river.The corpses whose identities were unknown, were suspected to have been dumped in the river Friday night by unknown persons. The traditional ruler of Amansea said the community had never witnessed such a gory sight before, while the Commissioner of Police in the state said the dead bodies remained a mystery as there had been no communal clash in Enugu or Anambra where many people were killed. He said investigations are ongoing...

President Jonathan:Orders Deployment Of War Planes To Mali

Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal, Alex Barde,has disclosed that Nigerian Airforce will commence deployment of Nigeria war planes to check the activities of jihad fighters in Mali on Thursday morning. Barde who paid his maiden visit to Enugu Airforce Unit, Wednesday,  said the action  was in compliance to President Jonathan’s directive that military contingent be sent to assist the country to contain the jihad fighters in Mali.

He said “As I speak to you now our air planes have arrived in Port-Harcourt, in-fact I’m on my way to Rivers State now and tomorrow morning we are beginning our deployment to Mali and that’s what I am going to witness.

Immigration Comptroller General: Rose Uzoma, retired from service

Mrs. Rose Chinyere Uzoma, the Comptroller General of Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), was on Tuesday 15th January retired from the service following the controversy that trailed the recruitment exercise of the agency.A letter conveying her retirement was signed by the Minister of Interior and Chairman of CDFIPB, Comrade Abba Moro. Mrs Uzoma will be temporarily replaced by her deputy, Mr. Rilwan Bala Musa, pending when the agency gets a new Comptroller General.

PDP National Secretary: Olagunsoye Oyinlola sacked.

The federal high court Abuja has Recently cancelled the election of Olagunsoye Oyinlola as PDP national secretary.While ruling on a suit filed by the Chairman of Ogun State PDP, Adebayo Dayo, the Judge, Abdul Kafarati, said that the election of Mr. Oyinlola did not follow due process.
Kafarati further stated that Oyinlola could not have emerged as the nominee of the PDP in view of the fact that two courts of competent jurisdiction nullified the congress in which he was selected.
He said that the action of both the PDP and Mr. Oyinlola amounted to a criminal conduct which is liable to imprisonment.

Nigerian First lady: Patience jonathan off to Germany for medical treatment

Nigerian First Lady, Patience Jonathan, is scheduled to visit hospitals in Germany and Spain in a few days, according to medical sources in Abuja.
Mrs. Jonathan, who returned to Nigeria last year after a prolonged stay at a German hospital, is officially headed for Spain but our source said she is scheduled for medical treatment in Germany to ready her fit enough so that she can attend an African First ladies event scheduled for Addis Ababa later in the month.

He said a lot of people misinterpret a scripture in the bible which is supposedly against body art and enhancement. Pastor Okotie rules out future marriage

Pastor Chris Okotie has ruled out getting married in future.Okotie dropped the hint Wednesday during the evening service at his Oregun, Lagos-based Household of God Church, southwest Nigeria.

According to a statement from the church, Okotie decided to lay to rest speculations about his desire to get married in future.

An inferno caused by electric surge is reported to have razed the palace of Oyo monarch; the Alaafin of Oyo, Lamidi Adeyemi in Oyo town, Southwest.

Sony announces the world's first 4K OLED TV at CES: 3,840 x 2,160 resolution

4K TVs looks amazing. OLED TVs look amazing. Therefore imagine, how good a 4K OLED TV will look. Sony has just wowed audience at CES 2013 with the news that it's produced the world's first Ultra High Definition television that uses Organic LEDs. OLED TV: What is an OLED TV?

An OLED TV screen uses a new display technology called OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diodes). OLED televisions are brighter, more efficient, thinner and feature better refresh rates and contrast than either LCD or Plasma.
